San José de Parinari
The first step toward a scalable safe-water model for the Peruvian Amazon.
AguaClara Reach and Fundación Encuentros are developing an initial demonstration project in San José de Parinari, a Kukama Kukamiria community in Loreto. The initiative combines AguaClara technology with local coordination, community participation, technical evaluation, and long-term capacity building.
From Pilot to Regional Scale
San José de Parinari is the first step in a broader strategy to validate AguaClara technology in the Peruvian Amazon, strengthen local capacity, build strategic partnerships, and create a model that can be replicated across additional communities and regions.
Támara
A community water system strengthened through long-term operation, local management, and continuous improvement.
The Támara AguaClara plant began operation in 2008. Since then, the local water board has continued investing in the system and incorporating updated AguaClara technologies to strengthen the community’s water infrastructure.
Waslala
Community-scale water treatment brought into operation through local implementation and partnership.
The AguaClara plant in Waslala, Nicaragua is a 24 L/s community-scale treatment system. The project demonstrates how AguaClara technology can move from engineering design into real-world infrastructure serving communities with reliable access to treated water.
